Breaking News: Wreck It Ralph 2

Walt Disney Animation has OFFICIALLY announced the return Ralph and Vanellope in an all new adventure Wreck It Ralph 2 schedule to release March 9, 2018. Instead of causing mayhem in the video game world Ralph will bring craziness into the internet.

CmNksmgWAAEiw9I.jpg-largeRich Moore (Zootopia) will co-direct the movie with Phil Johnston (write, Wreck It Ralph) and Clark Spencer (Zootopia, Bolt) is set to produce the film. John C. Reilly will return as the voice everybody’s favorite wrecker Ralph and of course the film wouldn’t be the same without the voice of Sarah Silverman as Miss Vanellope von Schweetz. So far there is no word for the return of co-stars Jack McBrayer (Felix) and Jane Lynch (Calhoun) will join Reilly and Silverman in returning for the sequel…

I am so excited to see what is craziness Ralph and Vanellope will be getting into when they step inside the crazy world of the internet. I think this is going to be an AMAING sequel and i am looking forward to watching it in 2018.

Disney Did You Know

Did you know,

The first athlete to say “I’m going to Disneyland!” Was Phil Simms of the New York Giants in 1987.

Now it’s a tradition with a lot of athletes saying “I’m going to Disneyland” or “I’m going to Disney World”

Prepare your furry friends for a hot summer by keeping them cool with some frozen fun treats!! Here are a couple of my pups favorite recipes!

On This Day: The Lady and the Tramp

June 22, 1955 came the Disney classic Lady and the Tramp, a story of a pampered pup named Lady who meets a streetwise mutt named Tramp. In honor of one of my favorite Disney dog movies here are some fun facts about the movie.

1.To maintain a dogs perspective, Darling and Jim Dears faces are rarely seen.

2. Originally Walt didn’t want to include the “Bella Note” spaghetti scene, which is now one of the most iconic moments in the Disney canon.

3.Barbara was nearly 50 years when she voiced the young Lady.

4.When the film was released it was the highest grossing Disney cartoon since Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs(1937).

5.The Beaver was effectively recycled as the Gopher in Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree(1966), right down to his whistling speech pattern. The voice was originally created by Stan Freberg who had a background in comedy voices.

6.The films setting was partly inspired by Walt Disney’s boyhood hometown of Marceline, Missouri.

7.Verna Felton, who voices Aunt Sarah, is the mother of actor Lee Millar, who provided the voice of Jim Dear.

8.A model of the inside of Jim Dear and Darlings house was built as a guide for staging.

9.Befor animating the fight between Tramp and the rat, animator Wolfgang Reitherman kept rats in a cage next to his desk to study their actions.

10.Hiring Peggy Lee arguably was the first instance of a superstar voice being used for an animation film.

Happy anniversary  Lady and the Tramp!

On This Day: The Hunchback of Notre Dame

June 21, 1996 came the story of a bell-ringer named Quasimodo and his journey to assert his independence and helping  his friend, a gypsy dancer named Esmerelda. In honor of this Disney classic here are some fun facts you may or may not know.

1.While Quasimodo sings “Out There” the camera pans over Paris and zooms in on a street, where you can catch a glimpse of Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Pumbaa (The Lion King) and a man shaking out Carpet from Aladdin.

2. Esmeralda is barefoot the whole movie.

3. “Hellfire” is one of the darkest Disney songs ever written and it was nearly cut out from the film.

4. The Hunchback of Notre Dame was the last Disney animated film to use very mild bad language (hell, Damn).

5.Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi were considered for the role of Frollo.

6. The Gargoyled put a wig on Quasi during the song “A Guy Like You” the wig is similar to the one that Tom Hulce wears in Amadeus(1984)

7.Frollos horse is named Snowball

8. As the soldiers fall after Quasimodo pulls the rope they were climbing you can hear Goofy holler

9. This was former Disney CEO Michael Eisner’s favorite film.

10. Hunchback of Notre Dame is the 34th full-legnthed film from Walt Disney.

Happy 20th anniversary Hunchback of Notre Dame!

My Thoughts on Frozen Live!

I finally made it to DCA to see Frozen!!! At first I wasn’t happy to see Aladdin go…but once I remembered how awesome Disney was and how I knew they wouldn’t let me down I was ok with the change.

So on Saturday I walked in the Hyperion Theater with an open mind and heart and let me just say…Frozen blew my mind!!!

There are so many technical things that happen while the show is going on its insane. I mean I’m not doing any spoilers because it’s definitely worth giving it a chance, but it is truly MAGICAL!!!

It does have some spots where I personally thought could be worked on BUT the show just opened so I know in time it’s just going to keep on getting more and more magical!

The actors, actresses and puppeteers did an amazing job portraying their characters the scenery was beautiful and I felt like I was in Arendelle the moment I stepped inside the theater.

I really suggest seeing it and giving it a chance, walk in with an open mind and heart and don’t compare it to Aladdin because it’s not Aladdin it is its own show and special in its own way. If you have seen it let me know what your thoughts on it.

Did You Know: Cinderella’s Castle

Did you know,

Cinderella’s Castle is made up of fiber glass and stands 189 ft tall. Now you would think there would be a lot going on in such a bug castle but its actually quite empty. Besides the gift shop and restaurant the only other thing it has is a Deluxe Suit that is awarded to a lucky and random family everyday. The Suit consists of 24 Karat gold tile floors a “magic mirror” that turns into a TV and  much more. I would love to be able to take a peek inside the castle! It sounds so magical!
