This just in Disneyland will be launching the digital FastPass service starting in November.
You may have notice around the park Disneyland Resort has been testing this system for a while now and it appears that they are finally ready to unleash a digital version of the FastPass. It may not be all throughout the park just yet, but Disney has confirmed that the digital FP will launch with Toy Story Mania at DCA starting November 20th, 2016.
The New system will use the official Disneyland app to allow guests to book FP reservations digitally. It will use the barcode within the app or on a guests park ticket to redeem the FP. Only through the app will guests be able to book a FP during the early stages of the system, Disney is hoping to bring in some in park Kiosks to also book FP.
Although this system is new to Disneyland, if you have ever visited Walt Disney World you may recognize it this is because they have actually been using this system for almost 4 years now. Personally I think this is an awesome upgrade for Disneyland, and once everyone gets the hang of it I think the guests will love it. Maybe well even get the magic band! What is your take on it? Are you excited or upset about the new system? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
