The Queen Anne Hotel!

The Queen Anne Hotel formerly known as Miss Lakes School for Young Ladies was built in the 1890’s by a mining millionaire James Graham Fair. The school operated for about six years with Mary Lake as the principal, and unfortunately closed in 1896 two years after Fair’s death. In the 1980’s the building became The Queen Anne Hotel a very posh bed and breakfast where you can find one of San Francisco’s friendliest ghost, Mary Lake.

It’s rumored that the headmistress was upset when the school closed from lack of resources and funding. Guests say she never truly left her position which means you have a chance to see her walking around the hotel or if you hit a cold spot you know you are in the midst of a ghost. Some say if you truly want a paranormal experience, you should say in Miss Lake’s room, room 410. This is where guests have reported seeing Miss Lake unpacking their clothes, picking up items that have falling and even tucking guests into bed who aren’t properly under the covers. You can find The Queen Anne Hotel at 1590 Sutter Street. Would you stay here?

Fried Chicken Celebration?

Disneyland will be having their inaugural Fried Chicken Celebration July 6-8, 2018 in celebration of National Fried Chicken Day July 6. If you want to celebrate National Fried Chicken Day at the Parks you can pick up your Fried Chicken at the Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park or Flo’s V8 Cafe or the all new Poultry Palace at Disney California Adventure Park.

Of course National Fried Chicken Day lands on my trip weekend. This was not planned what so ever but I’m not mad because I was planning on eating fried chicken on this trip anyways so I am very excited I get to eat fried chicken on its national holiday plus I will be purchasing a churro and see how magical a chicken and churro tastes! Where is your favorite place in the parks to eat fried chicken?

AP: upgrade or not to upgrade that is the question!

I have been an AP holder for about 13+ years now and I’m not looking to give it up anytime soon, my dilemma is do I upgrade my signature pass to a signature plus pass?

I can see in my future A LOT more Haunted Mansion Holiday rides! But I don’t usually go the week or two I’m blocked out…so what should I do???

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2018!

There are some new and spooky experiences coming to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Walt Disney World Resort on select nights starting from August 17- October 31, 2018. So here are some changes you can expect:

The Mad Tea Party- It will display new lighting and effects and depending on the color of your costume you can transform under the new dancing lights!

Pirates of the Caribbean- If you choose to go sailing with Pirates during this spooky season you have to keep a lookout for a new pirate invader named Gunpowder Pete.

Space Mountain will get a new soundtrack and special effects which will transformation the ride to make a new experience. I wonder if it’ll be like Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy over at Disneyland.

Storybook Circus will transform into Storybook Circus Junior Jam. It’ll be a dance party featuring some Disney Junior Characters.

Of course you have to make sure to look out for dancing ghosts and a headless horseman. Also be careful of the Sanderson Sisters, I have a feeling someone will light the black flame candle and bring them back to put a spell on guests!

World of Color Update!

World of Color at Disney California Adventure will not be returning for the opening of Pixar Pier June 23, 2018. It was only suppose to be down from April 13 – May 24 for the construction of Pixar Pier and Incredicoaster. Although, Disney is claiming its under refurbishment until late 2018, there have been rumors going around the park about WOC’s table that holds the elements to the show was damaged during construction. I think it’ll return to the park in time for the holiday season.

Happy Birthday Belle!

Today is my little Princess 6th birthday! I have to say she has been one of the best little puppers I have owned and these past 6 years with her as been an adventure. We went through low sugar, to a broken paw. Im hoping we don’t have anymore broken paws or bones because its not a fun experience.

She has made me laugh so much due to her being a klutz. She is also the best little cuddle bug ever, she gives the warmest hugs and snuggles. Happy Birthday Princess, thank you for being the best little pupper EVER!

Pawfect Apple Pie!

In honor of Belle’s Birthday tomorrow which is why I thought it would be fun to make her an apple pie! So, if you want to join us in celebrating her birthday or just want to make it for your fur baby here is everything you need!

What You’ll Need:

  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Flour
  • Coconut Oil
  • Apples
  • Milk
  • Cornstartch
  • Cinnamon
  • Unsweetened Apple Juice
  • Lemon Juice
  • Mini Cupcake Pan

Pre-heat your oven at 350º while you start working on the crust and the filling!

  • 1 1/4 C Flour
  • 1/4 C Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 C Milk

Mix until the dough is formed. It shouldn’t be sticky and dry, if its dry slowly add in some water if it’s sticky slowly add some flour until its its the prefect dough consistency. Once you have your dough line your cupcake with your dough and set aside to start the filling.

Pie Filling:

  • 3 peeled, cored, and sliced apples
  • 2/3 C unsweetened apple juice
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 Tablespoon cinnamon

Place the sliced apples in a little bit of lemon juice so they don’t turn brown. Add 2 tablespoons of unsweetened apple juice and cook on low hear until apples are soft.

In a small bowl add cinnamon, cornstarch, and the unsweetened apple juice and whisk together. Pour it into the hot apple mixture and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

Place the filling into the crust, and place it in the over for 25-45 minutes or until the crust turns a golden brown. Let it cool and serve!

We hope your pup enjoys this puppy apple pie!
