Goodbye 2018 Hello 2019!

I will have to say this year was a bit rough. There were deaths in the family, and some eye opening experiences to certain people in my life. My grandma had two surgeries which led to some very stressful nights.

Aside from all the negative, I’ve learned people’s true colors and know who I can trust and who I can’t. My grandma turned 80 years old and has had two surgeries and is on her way to being independent again. I am also learning how to not stress out about the little things in life and to try and find that silver lining. I had two very healthy little puppers, who bring so much joy to my life.

This year, I started off running 48.6 miles, and ended it with finishing the Jeff Galloway’s 2018 mile challenge with 3000+ miles. As for 2019 I will do my best with not stressing and of course I will be starting off the year with a 5k run no more 48.6 miles for me…hopefully. I’m also praying this year for everyone’s health, happiness and sanity. I’m glad I’m starting off the year with the ones that mean the most to me especially those furry little ones of mine.

Christmas Puppy Dinner!

Of course, my pups get to join in on all the festive foods so here is what I will be making them this Christmas! Lean ground turkey meatballs, with a cranberry sauce garnish and a sweet potato mash! 

Roll the ground turkey into meatball shaped and boil them in dog safe beef stock and cook until no pink. For the cranberry garnish, you grab fresh cranberries and some water and cook in a saucepan until liquified. You can strain the chunks but I like to leave them in. For the sweet potato mash, you boil some sweet potato mash them up and I like to add a tiny bit of pineapple to give it some yummy flavor!

Limited Edition Grinch Bark Box!

DOGtober 2018: Day 13

Today is the final day for DOGtober and then we will be moving on to 13 Nights of Disney! So lets get started.

First off we will be making Pumpkin and Peanut butter Bone Appetite!

What you need:’

  • 1c coconut flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 3/4 c pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 c peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 350º and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl mix pumpkin, eggs, honey, peanut butter and cinnamon.
  3. Add coconut flour and mix until well combined.
  4. Lay some flour on your table and roll out the dough about 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Cute your bones shapes out and place them on your line cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool and serve.

These are a snack for what the pups and I are going to next and that is watch a spooky movie! This is one of my favorite down times to do with the pups. So we put on Frankenweenie, grab a blanket, popcorn and of course the pups bone appetite treats and watch the movie snuggles in our blanket. DOGtober 2018: Day 12

My littles love pumpkin especially when we make some peanut butter pumpkin pupcakes!

What you need:

  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 can pumpkin puree
  • 1 tbsp. peanut butter
  • 1/2 c  flour
  • 1/8 c rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 5 tbsp. water
  • 1 pinch cinnamon

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 350º and line with mini cupcake tin with paper cases.
  2. Put egg, honey and pumpkin into a bowl and stir until combined.
  3. Once combined add in PB and mix until smooth.
  4. Add in your oats and baking powder and stir until a dough like consistency and knead in the water.
  5. Let mixture sit for about 15 minutes.
  6. Mix a few times and spoon into paper cases.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown or a toothpick comes out clean.

If you are like me and the pups and live in a cold area then you will understand why I give my pups the pupcakes when they are warm, so they can have a warm belly. I also like to top the pupcakes sometimes with a little extra PB.


DOGtober 2018: Day 11

Its time for a puppy picnic! I mean what better way to eat food then in a nice park, with nice food, and a couple of cute, cuddly and precious little puppers! One of mine, my moms and my littles favorite tradition during the fall season is going to Crissy Fields after a nice long walk and set up a picnic. We find a nice area, set our blanket, the pups water bowl and we start our little feast! Another reason why I love this place in particular is not only do they have amazing photo opportunities but the view (when its not foggy) its to die for.


DOGtober 2018: Day 10

Peanut Butter Apple Cookies!

What you’ll need:

  • 3c flour
  • 2c oats
  • 1c peanut butter
  • 1c applesauce
  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 c coconut oil (optional)

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 350º then line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl combine all your ingredients and mix well.
  3. Flour your table and roll out the dough  to about 1/4 inch thick and cut it into shapes placing them on your lined sheets.
  4. Bake for about 25 minutes or until they are lightly browned.
  5. Wait until they cool and serve!


DOGtober 2018: Day 9

Saturday October 27, 2018 marks the 28th anniversary of the Pet Parade at Potrero Hill in San Francisco Ca. The Parade started at Farley’s coffee 1315 18th Street at 1pm. There is a costume contest that will immediately follow the parade. There will also be trophies for the winners and pet treats for everyone who takes part of the activities. This is one of our favorite parades because we walk right past my cousins house and my BC (baby cousin) who gets a kick every time the pups and I walk by because she loves my littles just as much as I do. So if you are ever in the San Francisco area during this time I highly suggest you check out this puppy parade! Its a lot of fun to be a part of and a lot of fun to speculate!


DOGtober 2018: Day 8

Honey Glazed Sweet Potato

What you’ll need:

  • Sweet potato
  • Tbsp. Honey
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO optional)

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 425º and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cut about 1/2 inch thick circles in the sweet potato. Facies are optional.
  3. Place the jack o lanterns in a large bowl and add the honey and EVOO.
  4. Once the sweet potatoes have been fully coated place them on your lined cookie sheet not touching.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes and then flip over baking for another 10 minutes.
  6. Let them cook and serve.


I like giving them pups these when they are warm so they can warm up their little bellies especially after a cold day or a cold walk. Plus sweet potatoes are also super beneficial to them like the pumpkin. Plus I like making little faces and pumpkins on them because they look more festive!
