Bing Bongs Sweet Stuff!

Bing Bong Sweet Stuff will open later this summer on Disney California Adventure’s Pixar Pier. It will have colorful merchandise and of course a confectionery location. There will be salt water taffy, rainbow cotton candy and of course of other magical sweet treats to try! The “Buddy” cake pops will be offered at Bing Bongs Sweet stuff, the characters will change every so often and feature new characters like WALL-E and Eve, Nemo and Dory, Buzz and Woody and some inspired by “Inside Out”. which will feature the one and only emotions.

We will also get a fun selection of candy apples! Like the Rainbow Unicorn or the Bing Bong Apple. If you are unfamiliar with the magic of a Disney apple here is the rundown, its a granny smith apple dipped in caramel and chocolate carefully decorated with sugar, fondant and marshmallows crafted perfectly for guests with a major sweet tooth! You can also find other Pixar themed popcorn, lollipops and candies which will lemon drops, red licorice and sour apple balls. The salt water taffy can be found in an assortment of flavors like strawberry banana, peaches and cream, rainbow cotton candy, blue raspberry and orange.

After ALL those sweets what better way to wash down all those magical sweet treats then with a memory refresher! A frozen drink in all colors and flavors like: Rainbow Unicorn that has grape soda, blue raspberry soda, lime cherry, limon-lime, and rainbow candies. Of course to honor of our favorite imaginary friend Bing Bong he gets a special sugary drink will consist of pink lemonade with grape soda, topped with rainbow cotton candy and a flower marshmallow flower! It’s perfection and I can’t wait to try it out. What treats are you most looking forward to trying at Bing Bongs Sweet Stuff?

Disney After Dark: Star War Nite #2?

Yesterday, Disney announced that due to high demand of the DAD: Star Wars Nite will have a second night of galactic fun. Yes, so May 9, 2018 will be the second night of celebration. Tickets for this event will go on sale May 1, 2018. My only concern with this is I have heard that the first night (May 3) will have a lot less than the second night (May 9). May the 9th night will have a solo pin, more character and more photo opportunities, supposedly. These could just be rumors but it would be terrible for all the people who did purchase the first night but awesome for the ones who get the second night.

Hopefully, Disney knows what they are doing because either way they are going to get a lot of complaints. If you bought for the first night do you think its fair Disney put out a second night? If you are planning buying for the second night do you think it’s going to be better than the first night? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

My Disneyland Candy Cane Experience!

Its a Disneyland tradition to make their famous candy canes every holiday season, but if you have never heard about them be sure to check out the  Candy Cane History to read the magic behind them!

Now the tradition only happens on select days and the first day of the candy cane making was Friday Nov. 25 and the second day Saturday, Nov. 26. I had two amazing experiences both days but also completely different as well.

Day 1:

Friday November 25, 2016

Candy canes were for sale at Candy Palace in Disneyland and i got into the park about 8:40am 40 minutes after the park has opened. I immediately saw cast members outside the Candy Palace holding wristbands, there was only one person in front of me, so i didn’t have to wait.

My return time to pick up the candy cane was 10:30am so as I rode some rides and walked around the park until i picked up the candy cane, which someone was checking wristbands and letting the cashier know the amount ( 1 per guest, but there were 3 in my family) and than took our wristbands in exchange for the candy canes.

Day 2:

Saturday November 26, 2016

Over in Disney California Adventure it was Trolley Treats turn to make the candy canes and i decided to get to the parks before park opening. So i arrived at 7:15 and the gate opened at 7:30 and everyone rushed over to Trolley Treats and i was about 10th in line to get a wristband but there was so many people behind me.

The line was still moving really fast and when i got to get my wristband they asked if i wanted it now or pick up later, and i was like now please, then waited in a line to get the get the candy cane itself which took maybe a minute two at the most and after shopping and picking up gifts for my cousin we got out of the park at 7:55 am.

Overall the experience was MAGICAL and both times the candy canes were still warm and it was just an amazing experience. The cast members were crazy and i loved it they were just extra magical and made the experience amazing!

So if you are in the parks any of the days they are making candy canes i suggest getting one and don’t let the price scare you because they are worth every penny! Will you be making a special stop to get a Disneyland Candy Cane? Or have you gotten one already? If so what was your experience like? Let me know in the comments below!

This Week In Disney!

This week in Disney is CRAZY!!! There is so much going on. Mickeys Birthday, opening of PizzaRizzo’s, Tree Trail, runDisney Paris, Moana name change and so much more! So let dig into the Magic!!

To start us off this week is the big cheese Mickey Mouse, Happy 88th Birthday Mickey! Of course he’s been traveling non stop in his birthday month BUT the fun doest stop there, the parks will be singing happy birthday to our pal Mickey, so will you be in a park to celebrate?

Today is the OFFICIAL opening of PizzaRizzo in Walt Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so be sure to check out his restaurant and of course be sure to check it out! Along with their regular menu you they will have an Allergy Friendly such as gluten free, vegan free and dairy free options. Oh and remember “clean it up! Your ma don’t work here!”

Tree Trail opened Nov. 11, and will stay open until Jan. 8 2017. The trees are amazing and if you are thinking about going to check them out i highly encourage you to go and check it out plus you can tell the big guy what you would like this Christmas! My favorite tree was definitely the villains tree.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Made its debut Nov 14 in Hollywood Studios in Florida. Its the new show that replace the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. The show stars many favorites including like Wayne and Lanny From “Prep & Landing” which projects animation onto the Chinese Theater. I personally thought the show was so cute and Disney of course did a great job with it but no matter what Osborne Family Lights will always have a place in my heart!

Under The Stars: Moana This is taking place in the Polynesian Resort Sunday Nov. 20th, I’m kind of bummed that i won’t be able to go because i think the Polynesian Resort is a perfect spot to watch this fierce princess. Are you going??

The Wonderful World Of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration hosted by the lovely siblings Derek and Julianne Hough have recently taped the thanksgiving parade and it will soon hit on ABC Nov. 24 from 8-10pm ET.

Disney Springs Smtarbright Holidays-An Intel Collaboration will be making its debut Sunday Nov. 20 at 7:00 pm and another showing at 8:30 pm. Guests will watch as 300 show drones light up the night sky while guests listen to classic holiday music which was recorded by a full orchestra. Personally i think its going to be a pretty cool show!

Over in DCA Princess Elena of Avalor has arrived along with all the festivities such as the festive foods in the marketplace kiosks, Festival Entertainment, Disney Viva Navidad, Princess Elena’s Grand Arrival and of course Santa’s Holiday Visit.

Moana name change? Its been rumored that when Disney releases Moana in Italy they will be changing the films name to Oceania.

As for runDisney Paris there are only three more days to sign up to run in Disneyland Paris so be sure to get those computers and credit cards ready because the Disneyland Paris Half Marathon weekend is a lot of fun.

There was a ton of Disney happening this week? What is your favorite??? Let me know in the comments below!

Disneyland Candy Canes Are Back!

The ever so famous Disneyland hand pulled Candy Canes are back! Since they are still really popular and hand made there are only a limited number of candy canes that will be available.

Wristbands will be distributed at park opening, they will be available while supplies last. One wristband per guests which will allow the bearer to purchase one candy cane at the designated location.

Candy Palace:

November 25 &30

December 2,5,7,9,12,14,16,19&24

Trolley Treats:

November 26&29

December 3,6,8,10,13,15,17,20&25

This is one of the reasons Disneyland sticks out to me during the holiday season, i love watching the candy makers go through the whole process of making such a simple and magical treat for the holiday season. So good luck to everyone who is going to try and get one, I’m sending you a lot of pixie dust. As for me i will be up extra early Friday November 25 to hopefully get a wristband so i can accumulate one of the magical hand made Disneyland Candy Canes! Will you be trying to get one this year?

Disneyland: Security Checkpoint

In hopes to make things easier for guests visiting Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, Disney will move one checkpoint and will add two new ones.

Mickey_Friends_Parking_Structure_Escalators_2014-1.jpgDisney has decided to move the security checkpoint from downtown Disney to Mickey and Friends parking lot so that guests can go through checkpoint before hopping on a tram. They will also be adding two new checkpoints between ESPN Zone and Rainforest Cafe and another between ESPN Zone and Earl of Sandwich Restaurant.

This starts a bit controversial in the Disney world, some people are for it and other against it. Personally i think its really smart of Disney and i am all for this change. Let me know your thoughts on the change, are you for it? or against it?? Leave your comments below!

Goodbye Disneyland 60th

Now its time to say goodbye to 60th anniversary celebration…the celebration kicked off May 22, 2015 with a 24 hour event where the park was open from 6am-6am this is also where Disney premiered three new nighttime shows, Paint The Night, Disneyland Forever and of course World Of Color: Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney!

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end…which brings me to September 5…the official last day of the Diamond Celebration. It was an emotional trip for me because  I love all the diamond celebration shows so its hard to see them go away. Thankfully i know that Paint The Night will be returning after he holiday festivities, which i am so excited about!

We have the new Frightfully Fun parade along with the headless horseman to look forward too and of course trick or treating in the park so as sad as it is to see some things go we can look forward to the castle returning back to normal, Halloween decorations, new park merchandise, I am hoping that Disneyland Forever will come back as well. What are you sad to see go with the Diamond Celebration? and what are the things you are most looking forward to seeing after the Diamond Celebration?

runDisney: Disneyland Half Marathon

Let the races BEGIN!!!

I am so excited for the Disneyland Half Marathon weekend and all the festivities are starting, we have the Expo today, 5k tomorrow, 10k on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday!

Although i am not participating in this run i will be down there cheering on my cousins! I have my baby cousin doing the 200 meter dash, and two out of my three older cousins will be participating in the Dumbo Double Dare for the fourth year in a row while my other cousin will be doing the Half Marathon so this weekend i have a lot of cheering to do!

I LOVE race weekend it is magical! The whole atmosphere of Disney is different and positive and i just love it! Let me know if you are going to be there and what race you are going to be doing because i would LOVE to cheer you guys on as well! Good luck runners!!! Have a great and safe weekend and don’t forget to stay hydrated and have a magical time!!!

Final Days…ToT

As we already know Disneyland’s Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror will be getting a bit of a makeover to Guardians of The Galaxy  so we only have a limited time to step into the Twilight Zone.

Disney has officially announced that ToT’s final ride will be January 2, 2017. To make things more excited Disney said there will be a celebrating ToT final days by treating guests to a ‘late check out’ which means guests will get to experience the ride like they have never before.

With all the celebrating guests can find some commemorative merchandise items as well as food and beverage items through the celebration. Guests can also take a commemorative picture “checking out” with a special photo location in front of the Tower of Terror Hotel marquee, with luggage and the nods to the landmarks story.

Each day during Halloween Time the Hollywood Hotel will host a special performance by the Silver Lake Sisters, Dolly, Dottie and Ethel bounds along with the veterans of the vaudeville circuit know  professionally as Fiddler, Fifer and Practical for as a tribute to the hotel, be sure to stop by the cafe for some extra spooktacular fun!

As sad as i am to see ToT go i am really happy and excited Disney is doing this tribute because it is loved and it will be missed, so i am making sure i step into the Twilight Zone as much as i can before its makeover. Will you be visiting the hotel one more time?
