Pirates of the Caribbean Reboot!?

Rumor has it that Pirates of the Caribbean will have a reboot replacing everyone’s favorite pirate Captain Jack Sparrow with the new and improved red head Redd the revamped character from the Disney attraction Pirates of the Caribbean. Redd used to be auctioned off to the pirates and they would say “we wants the redhead” but with the update, she is a fierce pirate named Redd. For the possible reboot of Pirates Redd travels through various ports selling rum and collecting money.

Although there is no script Disney has had an early talk with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick the screenwriters of Deadpool and Zombieland about writing the reboot of Pirates. Honestly, I hope they pick up where they left off because the last one was left on a cliffhanger and I don’t think it will be as good without Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow but it is also Disney so no matter what I am going to give it a chance, even though I would really like to find out what happened with Henry Turner and Carina Smith along with Elizabeth Swann and Will Turner. What are your thoughts on this rumor? Let me know in the comments below!

High School Musical 4: The TV Show?!

Yes you read correctly, the newest High school Musical will be a docu- style series that will consist of 10 episodes following 8 new main characters. We can expect some original High School musical songs from the OG movie with a bit of a rendition, along with some new originals from High School Musical: The Musical.

high-school-musical-reunionresizedjpg

Just like the original three HSM, there will be a winter musiCAL! Emphasis on the cal intended. Heres where things get a bit more interesting the musical the students will be performing is High School Musical. The executive producer of the film is Tim Federle and Oliver Goldstick, while Julie Ashton is on the hunt for the cast. It seems like Kenny Ortega will not be returning for the 4th HSM movie and I think its kind of sad if he doesn’t because he directed the other three films.

What are your thoughts on High School Musical: The Musical? Let me know your thoughts.

Bambi’s 75th Anniversary

August 21, 1942, Bambi, the story of a young deer growing up in the forest was released. It was directed by James Algar, Samuel Armstrong, written by Felix Salten, Perce Pearce with the runtime of 70 minutes.

bambi-mother.jpg

It was the first and one of the first features where the songs were not sung by any of the films characters. Each song was either sung off screen by a soloist or a choir.

“Man” was ranked the #20 villain on the American Film institutes of the 100 greatest heroes and villains. It’s also the only character not to appear on screen.

Tyrus Wong, a Chinese animator whose sketches used a soft background inspired the look of the film.

bambi-ss1.jpgThere are approximately only 1,000 words throughout the entire film. Some scenes of the woodland creatures and forest fires are unused footage from Pinocchio (1940).

I also love the movie so much that I named my first dog Bambi, he unfortunately passed away BUT I have a lot of great memories when I watch the movie!

Happy Anniversary Bambi!

DCOM Freaky Friday Review!

Tonight was the premier of the newest Disney Channel Original Movie Freaky Friday. I thought it was going to just be a remake of the 2003 Freaky Friday starring Lindsey Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, but to my surprise it wasn’t. The only thing that was similar was the storyline, mother and daughter don’t see eye to eye and they change bodies and have to figure out how to get back to their own body.

PCTV-1660010307-hcdl.jpg

The one with Lindsey Lohan, Anna (Lindsey’s character) wants to perform with her band even though her mom is getting married. In the new one the daughter Ellie wants to go to The Hunt with her friends and her mom is under stress from planning and catering her own wedding so she can get on the cover of a magazine to promote her business.

Now the 2003 version wasn’t a musical (incase you haven’t seen it), but the 2018 DCOM version was a full on musical and I don’t know how I feel about it. It was cute, but I don’t think I want to watch it again. I did however buy it on iTunes because I want to grow my DCOM collection. Maybe I’m just judging it way to hard because I prefer the 2003 version, I don’t know but I am going to try and watch it again and really keep an open mind about it. What are your thoughts if you watched it?

Disney Movie Updates:

  • Ant-Man and The Wasp takes the #1 spot at the box office, followed by Incredibles 2 at #2. While Solo has fallen to the #14 spot and Avengers: Infinity War varies from the #12-#15 spots.
  • LIFE SIZE 2 is happening! We talked about this a while ago, BUT it is actually happening and will be released on Freeform this December during 25 days of Christmas. The sequel will follow Grace Manning the CEO of the company that made the original Eve doll. Tayra Banks will return as Eve, Grace Manning will be played by Francia Raisa. Tayra has mentioned that Lindsey Lohan will return for the sequel as well. So this should be interesting and I am hoping that Disney will release Life Size on iTunes.
  • Billy Dee Williams will make his return as Lando Calrissian in Star Wars Episode IX. He made his debut in the 1980’s Empire Strikes Back and returned in 1983 for Return of the Jedi. Episode IX will be directer by J.J. Abrams and is set to open December 20, 2019. I can not tell you how excited I am to have Billy Dee Williams back as Lando, I think he is just PERFECTION!
  • Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne ‘The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt is set to hit theaters October 11, 2019/ Jungle Cruise is based off of the beloved Disney Parks attraction.
  • Maleficent 2 is set to open May 29, 2020. Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning will reprise their roles as Maleficent and Princess Aurora, and Michelle Pfieffer will join them in playing Queen Ingrith.

It is starring Sadie Stanley (Kim Possible), Sean Giambrone (Ron Stoppable), Isaac Ryan Brown ( Wade Load), Alyson Hannigan (Dr. Ann Possible), Connie Ray (Nana Possible), TOdd Stashwik (Dr. Drakken), Taylor Ortega (Shego), Erika Tham (Bonnie), Ciara Wilson (Athena). I really hope we get to see, Christy Carlson Romano, and Will Friedle in the movie as like a little cameo, I mean I think its possible because they passed the torch in the short Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable Revealed so I feel like its a possibility.

What are you most excited about? Let me know in the comments below!

Maleficent 2?

Maleficent Sequel has been rumored for over a year now but has started production. Angelina Jolie and Elle Faning will reprise their roles as Maleficent and Aurora along with Joe Roth returning as producer. Joachim Ronning is rumored to be the director in the second film. Also, Michelle Pfeiffer will be taking the role of the Queen Ingrith.

Maleficent-sequel-in-development.jpg

The sequel is rumored to take place a couple of years after the first film’s events. It will follow Maleficent and Aurora as they will work together to protect the realm and all the creatures that live in it. I won’t lie, I am kind of nervous about the sequel. I honestly thought the first movie was amazing and covered EVERYTHING so as much as I am nervous I am pretty excited to see how the second movie turns out. What are your thoughts?
