Pawfect Apple Pie!

In honor of Belle’s Birthday tomorrow which is why I thought it would be fun to make her an apple pie! So, if you want to join us in celebrating her birthday or just want to make it for your fur baby here is everything you need!

What You’ll Need:

  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Flour
  • Coconut Oil
  • Apples
  • Milk
  • Cornstartch
  • Cinnamon
  • Unsweetened Apple Juice
  • Lemon Juice
  • Mini Cupcake Pan

Pre-heat your oven at 350º while you start working on the crust and the filling!

  • 1 1/4 C Flour
  • 1/4 C Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 C Milk

Mix until the dough is formed. It shouldn’t be sticky and dry, if its dry slowly add in some water if it’s sticky slowly add some flour until its its the prefect dough consistency. Once you have your dough line your cupcake with your dough and set aside to start the filling.

Pie Filling:

  • 3 peeled, cored, and sliced apples
  • 2/3 C unsweetened apple juice
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 Tablespoon cinnamon

Place the sliced apples in a little bit of lemon juice so they don’t turn brown. Add 2 tablespoons of unsweetened apple juice and cook on low hear until apples are soft.

In a small bowl add cinnamon, cornstarch, and the unsweetened apple juice and whisk together. Pour it into the hot apple mixture and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

Place the filling into the crust, and place it in the over for 25-45 minutes or until the crust turns a golden brown. Let it cool and serve!

We hope your pup enjoys this puppy apple pie!

Helpful Hints:

  • Use a stainless steal cookie cutter and grease both sides
  • If you only have a plastic cookie cutter make a normal round pancake and cut out a heart chape
  • The “syrup” is s drizzle of pineapple juice over their pancake

Happy Valentines Day!

Puppy Haul!!

So my little man had gotten dental work where he was left with only 5 teeth. Unfortunately, my little one’s gum is a bit sensitive, so eating has been a bit of a complication and hard work to get his food just right for him to eat. So here is what I bought him to make his food a little bit more appealing and softer for his gums.

  • Apple blueberry
  • Banana
  • Pumpkin banana
  • Sweet potato

Pineapple Juice:

  • 100% pure pineapple juice

  • Chicken
  • Beef

I am still in the trial and error stage for him, so some meals he LOVES and others not so much. Usually, I soften up his food, add some pineapple juice, and one of the Gerber foods along with some broth on top. It works out for the most part, and he chomps it right up with no problem. I hope it continues well because I now have a TON of dog food in my house.

25 Days of Christmas 2017: Day 19

Dognog! Yes, you read correctly Dognog, its dog eggnog and it is so easy to make and it’s definitely a treat for the pups, so let’s get started!

  • 7 oz plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 oz sweet potato baby food
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1 egg

In a blender add all the ingredients and blend together until the top gets frothy. Then serve! This makes one serving, but for my pups, it makes about 6 servings because it is a treat.

I hope your pups love it as much as mine did, let me know in the comments below if you made it!

25 Days of Christmas 2017: Day 7

Today I will be showing you how I make my pups Biscotti Treats. They are pretty easy to make and my pups goes crazy, along with their cousin Coco who will actually eat these in front of you (she’s a shy eater). So lets get baking!

  • 1 1/2 C flour
  • 1/2 C water
  • A drop of coconut oil
  • 3/4 C peanut butter
  • 1/3 C blueberries
  • 1/2 Tsp. baking powder

  1. Pre heat oven to 375º
  2. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper
  3. Combine water, oil, PB, baking powder and blueberries until combined
  4. Form a rectangle “loaf” on line sheet roughly (10″x4x1 1/2″)
  5. Bake for 22-24 minutes until golden brown
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes and slice into 1/4″ pieces
  7. Bake another 10-12 minutes, let it cool and serve!

I like making smaller treats when I bake for my pups because they have such small mouths it makes all of our lives easier. Dog Biscotti is their Christmas Eve morning treat, I figured I love them in the morning so they probably would love them in the morning and because I get up so early I make my tea, and get started on their treats while they are still sleeping. Once they are done we snuggle back into bed with my now Hot Chocolate, I put on a movie and they eat their Christmas Eve Biscotti!
