Whose ready for spooky season?

Disney announced the return of the Disneyland Resorts Oogie Boogie Bash. Spooky decor in both parks will take over the park starting from September 1 through October 31, 2023. This includes everyone’s favorite pumpkin Winky Blinky, Haunted Mansion Holidays, and the nighttime spectacular Hallow Screams, which summons the supernatural projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle, Rivers of America, and It’s A Small World. Three attractions at Disney California Adventure Park will make a spooktacular transformation: Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, and Guardian of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. If rides aren’t your thing, no worries; pumpkins will be hidden around the park from September 8 through November 1, 2023. Yes, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is back. Guests can purchase a map from participating locations; the best part is you can collect your prize at the end of the hunt. The Downtown Disney District will also feature fall decor, entertainment, and unique offerings from select locations.

Of course, it’s not a celebration without specialty food and drink items. Dining locations around the park will feature new food and beverages featuring fall favorites, such as pumpkin fritters and Halloween cakes. More information about the upcoming foods will be released close to Halloween. Plaza de Familia and tributes to Dia de los Muertos are also returning to the parks for the season. Guests can check out Plaza de la Familia starting September 1 through November 2, 2023, with food items inspired by Mexican cuisine. Characters from Coco will be seen in the Plaza for their performance, ‘A Musical Celebration of Coco,’ filled with Folklorico dancers, mariachi singers, and musicians, which will tell Miguel’s adventure to the Land of the Dead. Guests will also meet Miguel, dance along to Mariachi music, add remembrance notes to the Memory Wall, and so much more!

Oogie Boogie Bash: A Disney Halloween Party is returning, and Oogie Boogie and his nightmares will again take over Disney California Adventure Park. This year, however, they are adding more nights than ever before! On select nights between September 5 through October 31, 2023. Tickets went on sale June 29. 

The spooky season is my FAVORITE season and I am so looking forward to seeing the parks in it’s darkest attire.
