Festival of Holiday 2018!

Aside from all the decorations and the holiday parades I love to hop on over to Disney California Adventure and get my foodie life on at the Festival of Holiday! The first item that I purchased was a sip and savor pass which cost $49 for AP holders then I looked over the menu and started my foodie journey.

  • Braised pork belly adobo with garlic fried rice
  • Beef pot roast on a potato bun with horseradish creme
  • Holiday ham Shank with brown sugar pineapple glaze
  • Holiday Punch with lime sorbet and sprite
  • Chorizo queso fundido with house made tortillas
  • Holiday Mickey and Minnie cookies
  • Nashville Hot Fried Turkey with Dill Pickle
  • Pazole rojo beef with hominy polenta

They were all really good except I learned I don’t like horseradish other than that I do have my top three favorites, which are:

Holiday ham shank with brown sugar and pineapple glaze, Chorizo queso fundido with house made tortillas, and the Nashville hot fried turkey with dill pickle. Honestly, If I had anymore time I would have waited in all those lines just to get those three dishes. They were just amazing and 100% regret not getting them again.

#Halloweentime At The Grand Californian Hotel!!

In the lobby of the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa is where you can find a spooktacular Holiday cart in the lobby serving some sweetly spooky treats. There are Mickey shaped cookies, Halloween whoopie pies, jumbo cake pops, pretzel rods, a box of witch fingers and a pumpkin pound cake. These treats and a Halloween treat and an amazing pumpkin patch display which is amazing you can check out even if you are not a guest, unlike the pumpkin bucket.

The in-room pumpkin bucket guests of the hotel can plan a Halloween themed surprise delivered right your Disneyland Resort Hotel Rooms. The magic begins with a light up Mickey Pumpkin bucket filled with ghoulish treats, a one of a kind Halloween themed keepsake, and a Mickey Mouse pumpkin light up lanyard!!

Plaza Inn Halloween Treats 2018!

You can find three spooktacular treats at The Plaza Inn on Main Street USA. They all cost $5.99 each, so make sure you save some room after the fried chicken!

Main Street Mickey’s Pound Cake:

  • Blueberry compote filling and cookie crumbles surrounded with whipped cream and topped mint with black sugar turning the cake into a jack-o-lantern.
  • Chocolate Hazelnut Yule Log:
    • A returning specialty of the holiday season. A chocolate cake with a hazelnut frosting and a delicious and spooky frosting.
  • Halloween Minnie Mouse Cake:
    • Cinnamon and praline bundt cake with an apple center finished with an orange colored glaze and sprinkles.
  • These are super delicious but my favorite has to be the Chocolate Hazelnut Yule Log which is crazy because I’m not a huge hazelnut fan but this just is perfection to me. Do you dare to try these spooky treats?

  • A Christmas Fantasy Parade Dining Package 2018!

    Reservations are now on sale for A Christmas Fantasy Parade dining package at the Plaza Inn. The Dining package includes lunch and reserved a voucher for a viewing area for the second showing of the parade starting November 9, 2018. Prices for per adult is $39.99 and $24.99 per child (3-9) and the times for the packages 12pm-4pm.

    When you arrive at Plaza Inn you have the option to dine at the restaurant or take your food to go and explore the park. I absolutely love Plaza Inn and A Christmas Fantasy Parade so I 100% think this is worth it.

    If it like the viewing package for the Electrical Parade its a standing view area, but I still had an amazing time with that one as well. Will you do book this dining package or will you pass?

    Goodbye Oswald…

    Oswald the Lucky Rabbits meet and greet at Disney California Adventure is going away due to a large amount of entertainment budgets cuts happening in the US Disney parks.

    This lucky rabbit first made his appearance at Disney CaliforniaAdventure Park at the Disneyland Resort September 2014. 8 years after the Disney Company received the rights to Oswald after their trade of Al Michaels from ABC/ESPN to NBC Universal. So for me why would you fight so hard to get the original character back and he’s the first to get the boot? I don’t know about you but he is one of my FAVORITE characters and I hope him being out of the parks is only temporary because I’m definitely going to miss this rabbit!

    Earl of Sandwich Returns!?

    The popular fast casual Earl of Sandwich will be returning to its original location in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District for a limited time!

    It’s suggested that the return of everyone’s favorite sandwich spot is due to the fight between Disney and the Anaheim City Council over the tax breaks for Disney’s luxury hotel. So we might be waiting a good amount of time before construction starts for the new hotel in DTD but I know I’m happy that Earl has returned! What are your thoughts?

    Poison Apple Glow Cube 2018!

    At the Disneyland Resort you can find not one, not two but THREE different colored poison apple glow cubes. If you are like me, you will want all three of them because even though for something so simple but so cool! So here are the colors and places I got the Poison Apple Glow Cubes!
