OH MY GOODNESS!
After Summerween, I dove into Beyond the Story. I am currently on my fourth read. I was way too excited the first time I read the book; I know I missed a lot. The second time I read it, I listened to the audiobook and read it. I was able to take more in, but still, my emotions were excited that I didn’t feel like everything was sinking in. So here we are on the fourth read. There are a lot more things that stood out to me. In the first three reads, I highlighted some sentences that made me want to cry, laugh, and be sad.
I love that in the book, they dive into the lyrics of their songs, using them as a reference as they tell their story because those songs represent what they were feeling at that moment. As a listener to BTS’s music, you feel their emotions in their songs. I have also always felt they are a genuine group, which this book confirms. I love that they are unafraid to speak freely.
If you are a fan of BTS or music, pick up this book. I have been a fan of BTS for a long time, but reading this book was everything I wanted and needed, and I can’t wait to dive into it again. This book brings me to an entirely different level of respect for the boys, their music, and their journey to get where they are today.
