I could NOT wait any longer to go book shopping for som spooky books! I have dedicated an entire day just to be on the hunt for the creepiest and horrifying books I could possibly find. I started out this morning after I visited my Grandma, so I looked at bookstores around her area.
Barnes and Noble (#1)
- I was able to find a handful of books that I thought were perfect for the spooky season. I also found a couple of other books that I just had to purchase because I thought they were interesting.
Florey’s Book Co
- I really enjoyed talking to the worker that was in this book store. They were very sweet and recommended some really interesting reads that I am super excited to dive into.
BookShop West Portal
- This is always one of my favorite bookstores. I always meet the most amazing people in this little store and I was even recommended a book to read for Halloween which I am very much excited to read.
Folio Books
- Such a cute and quaint little bookstore. I met an Army here and actually got to recommend a book to them. Although, I didn’t find any books in this one I was really excited to recommend a book to someone.
Booksmith
- I may have cheated a little because this is one of the bookstores that I visit quite often, so they were expecting me at some point today, so when I walked in they were ready with a list of creepy books for me.
Kinokuniya
- This is where I find all my manga. I get a lot of recommendations from the workers, they are the sweetest people in the entire world which alway makes going to this store an absolute treat.
ARKIPELAGO Books
- Unfortunately, this books store closed down which I was sad about. I wanted to pick up books based off of the Filipino culture. Luckily, they did have an online store which was perfect and I was able to look into a couple of horror books I was able to look into.
City Lights Booksellers and Publisher
- This is one of my favorite bookstores even though I don’t go to it often because I hate finding parking in the area but it is a three story bookstore filled with so many book definitely recommend if you are in the area. I was able to find a couple of books that looked interesting.
Barnes and Noble (#2)
- The last an final stop of the day was Barnes and Noble. I love this one because of the GIANT windows and this area always has the best weather. I talked to a lot of workers asking them what their favorite thriller/horror book was and I got a lot of suggestions.
So many bookstores in one day but I am very excited about all the new finds and recommendations that I was able to accumulate today. I think all the books are very interesting and creepy and I can’t wait to dive into them all. I will have a book haul coming up with the books that I found today. Which book are you most excited to read this spooky season?
