Healthy Habits!

Heathy habits are something newer I introduced to my life. Some habits are more recent than others, but it has all come together and I am feeling so much better about myself and how I feel.

  • Bloom
  • Protein shake
  • Electrolytes
  • Workouts
  • Stretching
  • Massages
  • Water

These are the things that have been working for me and they might work for you and they might not. Everyone is different and their bodies are different in how they respond to things. It took me the longest time to figure out what my body accepts.

  • I drink Bloom in the morning. I make a nice big 8oz cup with warm water, which may sound gross but I enjoy it this way. It takes me about an hour or two to finish it, but I do feel like it makes a difference.

Protein Shake:

  • I make a protein shake later in the day. I feel like it helps me not eat a ton of junk food when I get home from work and school.

Workouts:

  • Morning/ Run
    • I like to run at least two miles every day, preferably in the morning but It makes me feel good to get moving.
  • Stretch
    • After my run I like to stretch. Just a quick five minute stretch after before I move on with my day or night.
  • Doga/Yoga
    • I love doing at least 10 minute Doga/Yoga session right before bed to help release any stress from the day. When my pupper joins me for Yoga it is the best session ever.

Massage:

I have a couple of tools that help me out with deep tissue massages

  • Leg Massager with heat
    • I like to use these if I go for a long run. They Massage, heat and help with circulation and pain.
  • Neck Massager with heat
    • This one is great and helps me relax my shoulders because I run with tense shoulders
  • Back Massage with heat
    • This one is a daily use. I have a bad back and this just feels so amazing and keeps the pain to a minimum
  • Theragun Massager (mini)
    • I love the mini because of how portable it is. I can take this on the go when I do in person runs and it feels great!

WATER!!

  • I try and set a goal for myself each day to try get myself to drink more. It doesn’t always work but I am working on it.

These are just things I like to do and have been working for me. I am trying to create a healthier lifestyle for myself while accepting my body and all it’s aches and pains. Sometimes, it is hard to see yourself in a positive light BUT I can guarantee that you are someones light.
