Blogtober is coming back for it’s sixth year on the blog. I am so excited because every post will be spooky, cooky, yummy and chaotic as always. Starting October 1 -31, 2024 there will be one new Halloween themed post. Here is kind of what you can expect for Blogtober.

Grimathon:

The month long readathon with fun prompts and activities. We will check in every seven days on the blog, if you want more of a daily post you can follow my instagram to see what books I have finished. The first of the month I will post my TBR for Grimathon.

Food/Drinks:

• Since I am a major foodie there will be different food and drink recipes for the season. Each recipe will be different possibly delicious gruesome yet delicious. The recipes will range from sweet to savory and of course for the drinks both hot and cold.
• FOR THE PUPS! Yes, I of course include puppy recipes as well. I don’t know about you, but my pup is part of my family and they need some special treats too!

Movies/TV Shows:

MOVIE NIGHT! I love watching movies and I love sharing my favorite movies especially the older ones because most people I know, have never heard of them. I make sure to grab a GIANT bowl of spooky popcorn to watch and occasionally a cousin or two will stop by and we will all enjoy the movie together.

TV Shows! I love watching Halloween special episodes. There is something about them that brings me so much joy and really gets me in the holiday spirit.

Spooky Playlist:

I absolutely LOVE making holiday playlists and will make a specific playlist for the blog! It’s so much fun and filled with ALL of my favorite songs along wiht my friends and families favorites too.

Cousin Time:

The cousins and I will gather together a couple of times this month to hang out, watch movies, listen to a spooky playlist. Activities we do together are:

• Pumpkin Patch
  • We like to go to the pumpkin patch together and of course are furry friends are also there making memories with us.
• Spooky House Competition
  • We are a very competitive family so we take spooky house decorating very seriously. This started in 2020 during the pandemic over a zoom call and it has been a tradition ever since.
• Pumpkin Carving
  • After we pick out our pumpkins we carve them and of course bake the pumpkin seeds, which I just found out not everyone does. Anyways, we have the music blasting, and it usually turns into a slimy gross pumpkin mess.
• Movie Night
  • We gather in our jammies, make and bring A LOT of food and treats and pig out as we watch the movies.

Spooky Book Recommendations:

You all know I love books, so I always make sure to share some of my favorite October reads.

Puppy time:

Some of my favorite things to do is with my furry little chunky monkey. She is my world, so my life revolves around her. We go to different Halloween puppy events around the city. From PETCO costume contest, Halloween parade, Halloween parties and pretty much anything.

Crafts:

I absolutely love crafting and last year I crocheted some spooky bracelet, pumpkins and ghost to hand out but this year we stepped up the game and are making resin and clay items.

Spooky Bags:

Just like the crafts, I make a lot of spooky bags to hand out. My grandma lives in an elderly appt. and I know almost EVERYONE there, so I like to make some spooky filled goodie bags to hand out to them.

Aside from handing them out to my grandma and her friends, I like to make some for my cousins as well along with you guessed it, the pups!

My neighbors will also get some goodie bags because they put up with all my crazy ideas out on the porch, so I only find it fitting to spread the love to them as well.

There are so many more things I will be doing and posting so I really hope you are ready for the chaos this spooky season.
