Blogtober 2024: Day 13

It’s time for some pumpkin puppy treats!

This is a newish recipe but approved by Belle! Let’s get started.

Ingredients:

  • 1 C of Oats
  • 1/3 C Pumpkin Pure
  • 1/4 C Peanut Butter (smooth is preferred by Belle)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300º and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In a food processor grind your oats until a fine powder.
  3. Add in the pumpkin and Peanut Butter and mix until a sticky dough has formed.
  4. You can form into round balls and slightly smash or make shapes.
  5. If you want shapes remove from the bowl and roll out on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Using the cookie cutters of your choice cut out your shapes and place on the parchment paper.
  7. Bake in the oven 20 – 30 minutes depending on how big your treats are.
    • I like to under cook them because Belle and her cousins like a softer cookie.

You can store these for a week at room temp., two weeks in the fridge, or you can freeze them. IF you are like us, they last maybe a day because we love to hand them out to all our puppy cousins and friends.

Happy Hauntings!
