I have a little book group that I send a lot of book info to and realized that not a lot of people know about these tricks.

Prime Reading:

• What is Prime Reading?
  • Prime Reading is a free benefit for Amazon Prime members that provides access to digital libraries of books, comics, magazines, audiobooks and so much more!
  • You can borrow up to 10 books at a time and just like KU you will be notified when you reach your limit.
  • Prime Reading is different from Audible.
• Do you need a kindle to participate?
  • No kindle is required to participate. Just download the kindle app.

Kindle Unlimited (KU):

• What is Kindle Unlimited?
  • KU is a subscription service that gives members access to a large selection of digital books, audiobooks, comics, and magazines
  • members can borrow up to 20 titles at a time, with no due dates. Titles can be accessed on Kindle devices, phones, computers, or tablets using the Kindle app. 
  • All ebooks on Amazon are considered Kindle ebooks, BUT NOT ALL ebooks on Amazon are part of the KU Subscription Program.
• How much is a KU Membership?
  • $11.97 per month after a 3-month free trial. KU is not included with an Amazon Prime membership.
• Do I need a Kindle?
  • No Kindle is required. You just need to download the app and have an amazon account.
    

First Reads Program:

• What is First Reads Program?
  • Every month Prime Reading users receive one free prerelease book from the editors pick
    • Sometimes you can download up to two depending on the month!

Stuff Your Kindle Days:

• What is Stuff Your Kindle Day?
  • Stuff Your Kindle Day is a 24-hour period where thousands of ebooks become free. Stuff Your Kindle Day now occurs a handful of times throughout the year, and it’s not limited to just Kindle users
• Can anyone participate?
  • YES!!! You don’t need to have a kindle to participate. All you need is an Amazon account.
• What if I miss a Date?
  • There is always new dates and new sites for SYKD so don’t worry about missing one or more. New dates are always appearing.

Libby App:

• What is Libby?
  • A free app that allows users to borrow and read digital media from their local library. Essentially, a digital library.
    • Audiobooks, ebooks, magazines
• How do you use Libby?
  • Users can sign in to the app, link their library card, and then browse or search for titles. To borrow a title, users can tap the cover image, tap Borrow, and then confirm the loan period.

Kobo Plus:

• What is Kobo Plus?
  • Kobo Plus, allows you to read and listen to as many ebooks and audiobooks as you want each month for a fixed price.
• Are all books free on KP?
  • Not every eBook from Kobo is available to read with a subscription.
    • Kobo Plus Read – $7.99 (monthly)
    • Kobo Plus Listen – $7.99 (monthly)
    • Kobo Plus Read and Listen – $9.99 (monthly)
