Blogmas 2024: Day 15

Christmas Movie Recommendations!

I did an animated movie recommendation post a couple days ago and here are my non animated movie recommendations post.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

In this live-action adaptation of the beloved children’s tale by Dr. Seuss, the reclusive green Grinch decides to ruin Christmas for the cheery citizens of Whoville. Reluctantly joined by his hapless dog, Max, the Grinch comes down from his mountaintop home and sneaks into town to swipe everything holiday-related from the Whos. However, the bitter grump finds a hitch in his plans when he encounters the endearing Cindy Lou Who

Christmas with the Kranks (2004)

Finally alone for the holidays, Luther and Nora Krank plan to eschew the Christmas traditions and take a cruise in the Caribbean instead. This doesn’t sit well with their Christmas-obsessed neighbors Vic Frohmeyer and Walt Scheel, who are determined to win the annual “best decorated street” competition, and the Kranks soon find themselves social outcasts because of their lack of Christmas spirit.

Red One (2004)

When a villain kidnaps Santa Claus from the North Pole, an E.L.F. (Extremely Large and Formidable) operative joins forces with the world’s most accomplished tracker to find him and save Christmas.

Candy Cane Lane (2004)

A man makes a deal with a mischievous elf who casts a magic spell that brings the 12 days of Christmas to life.

Jingle All the Way (1996)

Workaholic Howard Langston wants to make things up to his son, Jamie, and wife, Liz. He promises to get Jamie the hottest toy of the season, Turbo-Man — even though it’s Christmas Eve and the toy is practically sold out. As Langston hunts down the elusive gift, he runs into mailman Myron (Sinbad), another father on the same quest. With the clock winding down, Langston’s moral code is tested as he starts to learn the real meaning of Christmas.

Brewster’s Millions Christmas (2024)

With her assets frozen, wealthy heiress, Monica Brewster, must complete unusual tasks from her late Uncle Monty’s will to prove she’s worthy of her inheritance by Christmas Eve.

A lot of these I have recently watched and fell in love with. They were corny, funny and just super Christmassy. I do suggest you check them out if you haven’t already and if you have…what are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below and let me know if you have any recommendations I didn’t list above.
