Cookies with Nani!

It is that time of year again but we are taking over Nani’s house or better yet destroying Nani’s house as we make cookies for not only us but her building. We like running amuk acting as her little elves spreading Christmas cheer throughout the building.

Cookie Line Up:

• Chocolate Chip
• Milk and White Chocolate Chip
• M&M Chocolate Chip
• Peanut Butter
• Chocolate Peanut Butter
• Oatmeal
• Oatmeal Raisin
• Snickerdoodle
• Uncle John’s Favorites

We make A LOT of them and we are aware of allergies so we make sure to make the chocolate ones first before pulling out the nuts. I think this year we out did ourselves and basically made enough cookies for everyone to have 5 each. It was so much fun and we 100% made a mess, consumed a lot of cookie dough and chocolate chips but it was great.

Once all the cookies cooled, the aunt’s and uncles bagged them up in super adorable cellophane bags and put them in baskets for all of us to go deliver. We put on Santa and elves hats and had little notes incase they didn’t answer the door. Once everything was set the grandchildren elves got to work and ran around the building delivery cookies.

The reactions definitely bring us all a lot of happiness because most of these grandparents are sadly alone for the holiday’s and I am thankful we can bring them some holiday cheer even if it is something small. Most of them want us to take stuff back or listen to stories so we usually split up so we are not bugging everyone super late.

Once we are done handing out, it is our turn to eat more cookies, drink some hot chocolate and hang out with Nani. We love singing and dancing with her through the night or until she kicks us out.
