Between Us
Between us is a Thai show based off of the Novel Hemp Rope. The show was released in 2022 (which I watched painstakingly every week) and have been wanting to read the book because I am completely obsessed with the characters, and recently, I was FINALLY able to snag a copy of Hemp Rope. Since I watched the show first, I will give those details before the book. This is also a spin off of Until We Meet Again, which I will do an entire post next week about.
Between Us (2022) – IQIYi
Team always has a sleeping issue before the swimming competition, which makes him unable to make good records and join the national swimming team. Win notices this problem and decides to step in and help. Win knows that Team just wants someone to stay by his side, so he allows Team to sleep in his room. As a result, Team becomes more relaxed before the competition, and his sleeping issue is no longer severe. On the other hand, Win starts to feel for his junior, Team. But due to his family background, Win is a middle child who only knows how to give love but never receives one. He only knows how to treat people equally, making it harder to approach Team. But with the help of his brothers, Win starts to change himself and makes Team know that he is his special one.
I have rewatched this show four times in 2024. I absolutely LOVE the characters and the actors and actresses in Between Us. I think they all do an amazing job and it is honestly the best and such a comfort show for me. When the show ended, I was on the hunt for the book. Thankfully, years later, I was able to find the book.

‘special person’ remains unclear.
“Do you usually charge everyone for a tutor?”
He trembles upon questioning.
Phawin licks his lips, trying to find his confidence.
“Normally, I teach for free.”
He mumbles while glancing at the other person.
“I charge only you.”
“Can I ask why…?”
Because you’re special, I want it different with you…
“Because you’re…”
Because you’re the one I can’t let go of.
“Because you’re special to me.”
I never felt more satisfied with a book than reading this one. WOW! It still gave me the exact same feels as the show did and everything was as if the show was playing in my brain as I read the book. I will say this is my second time reading/watching I was more following along with one another and completely in my element. I will put these on hold BUT I can’t wait to get back to it after some of the other books and shows I want to get too.

These two-lines…are freakin’ back again!!!
I did not know what to expect when I dove into this book and I was on cloud 9! I loved seeing these characters in a different light and I honestly wanted more and wish they would have done a mini series or a special episode because this was way too adorable. I will say, this does have other characters from Until We Meet Again so if you want to stop reading before the end to not spoil anything be careful!
