Love Yourself 2025: Day 6

Self Care Day!

I absolutely LOVE self care days. Honestly, you can interpret this however you would like. Some people like a bath, massage, a trip, a spa, shopping, whatever it is that makes you feel good, do it. For my mom and I we are going to do our version of a self care day.

We started out the day with a quick run, shower and we had a food delivery from our FAVORITE breakfast spot near our house. Once we ate, we put on our walking shoes and walked the Golden Gate Bridge, it was FREEZING, but so beautiful. We played tourist for a bit and hung out on Pier 39 just because, we got ice cream and shared a bread bowl.

Of course, we decided to find a nice place by the water to pick up a book and read. I love reading outside near water, it was so relaxing. We only read a couple of chapters before starting our walk again. We decided to pick up an acai bowl and head to the beach. Yes, we love the beach. It is both of our happy places. Once we ate and cleaned up we started our walk. Although our toes were not in the sand, we still had a blast walking on the beach.

For dinner, we stopped off at one of our favorite places near the beach and brought it home. Jammies, movies, good food and the CUTEST lil pup was how we were ending our self care day. I had a blast with my mom and enjoyed the day. It was relaxing and couldn’t be more perfect.

TherapyDen

A key part of the therapeutic process is finding a provider you connect with; this is especially important for therapy seekers who belong to marginalized communities such as BIPOC or LGBTQIA+, since a lot of damage can be inflicted in the therapy room by providers who are not culturally informed and sensitive. TherapyDen makes finding the right provider easy by offering a therapist directory with tons of culturally relevant filters to find the best therapist for you, making it our top pick for the most inclusive online therapy service.

“I could make you mad
I could make you scream
I could make you cry
I could make you leave
I could make you hate me for everything
But I can’t make you come back to me”
