Arts and Crafts!

Oh my goodness, okay. I am so excited about the activities that I have planned for today. It is Arts and Crafts Day. I got this idea from Zoe Sugg on youtube. She did a family paint your partner evening. They had canvases, drinks, snacks and lots of laughter. Unfortunately, I do not have a nice yard like Zoe BUT, I do have a porch!

Let’s Paint!

I purchased 4×4 canvases because I love smaller items and painting is no exception. I pulled out the paintbrushes, the watercolor paint and gouache paint. We had a music playing, some snacks and we don’t drink alcohol but we had our water. We painted a couple of canvases before we changed our craft.

Crochet!

We both love to crochet little tiny animals and flowers. So we decided to crochet and watch a movie. We put on Summer Magic and started all of our mini crochet creations. By the end of the movie I think we ended up with 4 items each. We were taking our time and enjoying each pattern and of course movie!

Mason Jar Lantern!

We had to decorate our porch for Valentines, and half of it is all love and bright and the other half is heartbreak and gloom. So our mason jars represented each side. I did the heartbreak mason jar lantern and my mom did a bright and full of love mason jar lantern. We placed them on the opposite sides and they looked so good. They were so easy and so much fun to make.

Art’s and Crafts is a great way to reduce stress, express yourself and if you are like me feel accomplished. I truly enjoy these types of crafts but I also know it is not for everyone. Definitely find a craft that best suits you and your needs.
