Hydration!
I am so terrible at staying hydrating, but it is so important. Water is essential for almost every bodily function, including regulating body temperature, joints, transporting nutrients to cells, removing waste, cushioning organs, and maintaining proper function. Hydration is also great for your mental health.
Hydration helps regulate your brain function and regulate mood. Being dehydrated means your brain doesn’t have enough fluid to to produce nutrients, hormones, neurotransmitters that help you feel happy and healthy. Meaning being hydrated your brain will get enough amino acid tryptophan needed to create serotonin known as the “feel good” chemical. Make sure to drink enough water so we can continue to feel good.
