Depression!
Depression can get the best of us but it does not define who we are. Depression can look and feel different for everyone. What is depression? a common mental health condition characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and loss of interest or pleasure in activities.
Here are some ways to help with your depression. Remember each person is different so the things that I mention may not work for you, but that is okay. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel!
Activities to help with Depression:
- Exercise
- Aerobic Exercise
- running, walking, dancing, playing sports
- Other Physical Activies
- Gardening, Washing your car, taking the stairs
- Consistency
- Try to exercise most days of the week, even for a short amount of time

- Connecting with Others
- Socializing
- Talk with friends and family about how you are feeling
- Ask for help
- Let others know you need support. This isn’t a sign of weakness, it is a sign of strength 🙂

- Maintain a healthy sleep schedule and routine
Make sure you stay patient. This is something that takes time, but if you stick with a simple routine that works best for you, you will see an improvement. Journaling can also help, you can write all the positives you had in your day. If you need to vent write down all your negative thoughts and throw them away. Focus on your breathing if you feel like life is getting to be too much. Remember, even if it doesn’t feel like it YOU are LOVED, YOU are IMPORTANT, YOU are AWESOME, YOU are WANTED, YOU are ENOUGH!!!
