What you need:
- Lined cookie tray
- Straw
- Ghost cookie cutter
- Hamburger
- Spices
- Condiments of your choice
- ketchup
- mustard
- Shredded cheese
- Diced onion (optional)
- Egg (for egg wash)
- Pillsbury Pie Crust
Directions:
- Pre-heat your oven to 350º and line your baking tray with parchment paper
- Lay out your pie crust and cut out your ghosts! Make sure that you have a bottom and a top for each pie.
- Using your straw add a face to one side of your ghosty hand pie. Set aside.
- If you are adding onion, add your diced onion to your pan and let it caramelize. Add in your ground hamburger meat and spices. Break up the meat until its at a consistency you like.
- Once the meat if fully cooked add in your condiments of choice and cheese. Give it a good mix.
- With a spoon, add your desired amount to cut out pie crust (the side without the holes).
- Once they are all filled, slightly wet the sides and lay your second pie crust with the face on top.
- With the back of your fork press along the sides of the ghost giving them a ridge.
- In a small bowl, crack your egg and add a bit of water and mix. Lightly coat the ghosties.
- Place them in the oven until they are golden brown.
These came out so adorable and delicious. I love the light crunch and the filling is great and cheesy. You can obviously add or take out whatever you want or don’t want. I like mine extra cheesy so I added a bit more cheese to mine.
