Museum Day!
I decided to go to the Cable Car Museum, which was established in 1974.
Cable Cars began operation in San Francisco on August 2, 1873, by Andrew Smille Hallidie, the first line on Clay Street. It is still operational and a major tourist attraction. One of my favorite things to watch is when they turn the cable cars around on Powell and Market; this is my favorite spot. I find it more magical. The Cable Car Museum is at 1201 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA. It contains historical and explanatory exhibits on the San Francisco cable car system. The Cable Car Museum is a nonprofit educational facility. Meaning it is completely FREE! If you are ever in San Francisco, check it out; it has so many cool things to learn and see.
Sometimes, I like to act like a tourist and ride the cable car up and down the lines because it can be very relaxing. They do go slow, so make sure you are not in a rush, but I promise you that you won’t regret it; make sure you pack an extra jacket because San Francisco is cold.
Have you ever been on the San Francisco Cable Car?
