Holiday Stockings!
You know I have to make things to hand out especially around the holidays. I put together things for family, friends, co workers and neighbors but this year my mom nad I have decided to do something a little extra special.
I made a lot of little stockings filled with some necessities.
- Chapsticks
- Gloves
- Hand Sanitizer
of course it can’t be all series, so there are some sweet treats like,
- Chocolate
- Gummies
- Lollipops
Of course I had to add some home baked treats as well.
- Cookies
- Puppy Chow
- Hot Cocoa Mix
- Cake Pop
For family and friends we did add some money, gift cards and their present.
One thing we did do differently this year was making sure our delivery people were taken care of. Of course we made them each a card and on their last day we gave it to them. As a thank you for all of their hard work they do all year around. We do this every year because I do appreciate them and everything that they do. Especially because some of my packages are really heavy.
This year however, for not only our delivery people, but also our neighbors, we set up a mailbox with cookies in it. On the mailbox I made a sign that says “Cookie of the Day! Please enjoy :)” and with the cookie that my mom and I have made. We individually wrap them and place them in the mailbox. My mom and i have decided that we will be baking a new cookie every day until the 25th.
- Polvorones (mexican sugar cookies)
- Snickerdoodles
- White Chocolate Peppermint
- Hot Chocolate Cookies
- Lemon Meltaway Cookiees
- Gooey Butter Christmas Cookies
- Snowman Linzer Cookie
- Maple Brown Sugar Cookies
- Shortbread Cookies with Holiday Sprinkles
- Mexican Wedding Cookies
- Peanutbutter Blossom Cookies
It is a lot of fun and a way to say thank you for being our neighbors and putting up with the shenanigans. My mom and I love to give back, so not only do we have them for neighbors but we go around the city and hand them out as well. It is the spirit of giving and hope that this small gesture can put a smile on someones face.
