Cousin Tree Hunting!

The cousins and I went to the tree farm to pick out our annual cousin tree.

This year we went to The Guardsmen Tree Lot so we switched up our location but this was still so much fun and so many stunning trees to chose from. Let me tell you, it smells so good and just like Christmas. This is where my mom and I go when its just us and I had to suggest it to the cousins.

We got food and obviously more hot chocolate before we walked around the lot to find the perfect cousin tree. Now we walked up and down the aisles, searched high and low and finally in the middle of the lot pushed so far back was the cutest little tree. It was almost like a Charlie Brown tree, but more filled out. It was perfect for what we were going to do.

The cousins had gotten a great idea, which usually means trouble when it comes to us. However, this time it was actually a good idea and no one got in trouble. We each drew a name and wrote a note to a cousin. We placed it in an envelope and hang it on the tree. The notes are not going to be big and can fit in a mini envelope and each day leading to Christmas a new cousin can take their note and replace it with an ornament.

Honestly, this was a lot of fun and it’s almost like a Secret Santa but we all have very distinctive handwriting so we will know who wrote the note. I can’t wait for the countdown!
