Gooey Christmas Butter Cookies
My friend has put in a request. Gooey Christmas Butter Cookies. So let’s get to baking!
Ingredients:
- ½ cup Butter Unsalted, Softened
- 1 Egg Large
- 8 oz. Cream cheese Full fat, Softened
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 box White cake mix
- 1-2 cups Powdered sugar for rolling cookie dough balls
- Christmas Sprinkles
Instructions:
- Preheat your over to 350º F and line a cookie tray with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, add butter, egg, cream cheese, vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
- Add cake mix and mix until combined.
- Mix in your festive sprinkles, if you want. This part is optional.
- Cover bowl and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to make the dough easier to handle.
- Scoop out small portions of the dough and make little balls.
- Roll these cookie balls in a bowl of powdered sugar until fully coated.
- Place them on a cookie tray, lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 350º F for 10-12 minutes or until edges are firm but the centers are slightly soft (should not be jiggly though!)
- Optional: Sift more powdered sugar on top of the cookies, prior to serving.
- Enjoy!
I hope you enjoy, these are now one of my older cousins all time favorite cookies now and has requested them for Christmas. I don’t blame her, they are pretty delicious and I love when they are nice and warm.
