Monthly Book Pick: January 2026

I may be cheating…

We have our first monthly pick of the year and well it might be four books. Let’s get into it.

Me and Thee

“Thee Theerakit Kian Lee,” the eldest son of an ex-mafia, left his past in arms trafficking behind to launch a perfume and accessories brand called Arseni. Chaos erupts when Mr. Thee has his eyes on “Aran,” a model close to “Peach Peachayarat”, a famous freelance photographer shooting the brand’s new perfume collection. Peach loves his quiet, introverted life—but it’s turned upside down forever when he’s roped into becoming Mr. Thee’s love coach, only to be pursued by him instead in over-the-top ways, as if trying to set a new world record in wooing. How will the love story that has Peach yelling “Get a grip, Mr. Thee!” unfold?

Me and Thee is a standalone BUT your ghoul was not ready to leave the characters behind so I picked up Calm Down, Mr. Rome and the special for both the books which closes up everything. Thee is definitely the guy I would LOVE to have in my life. I gave this book 5 stars, I gave the show 10/10 and have rewatched again. I have also not stopped talking about it and even roped my parents into watching it with me because I am completely obsessed, even to the point of I may have to buy merch! If you decide to check it out, I hope you really enjoy it and let me know your thoughts!

That’s Not My Name

She thought she had her life back. She was wrong. A gripping debut thriller perfect for fans of Natalie D. Richards and Vincent Ralph.

It was a mistake to trust him.

Shivering and bruised, a teen wakes up on the side of a dirt road with no memory of how she got there―or who she is. A passing officer takes her to the police station, and not long after, a frantic man arrives. He’s been searching for her for hours. He has her school ID, her birth certificate, and even family photos.

He is her father. Her name is Mary. Or so he says.

When Lola slammed the car door and stormed off into the night, Drew thought they just needed some time to cool off. Except Lola disappeared, and the sheriff, his friends, and the whole town are convinced Drew murdered his girlfriend. Forget proving his innocence, he needs to find her before it’s too late. The longer Lola is missing, the fewer leads there are to follow…and the more danger they both are in.

THIS BOOK! My other 5 star read that I have forced everyone around me to read and talk to me about. Including my boss. This was one of the only books I have read that I did not figure out the ending. I had so many theories, and ALL OF THEM WERE WRONG! Normally, I figure out the ending but this one shocked me and although frustrating at times I 100% loved and enjoyed the book. I would suggest checking it out if you enjoy mystery and thrillers. Like I said, I got everyone around me to read and it was great.

What is your monthly book pick?
