Love Yourself 2026: Day 8

Affirmation and Positivity!

These are so helpful, because if you are like me you tend to put yourself down. Sometimes we mean it and other times we just say it. Either way, we just need to love ourselves a bit more.

What are affirmations?

  • Positive affirmations are short, powerful statements repeated to challenge negative thoughts, build self-esteem, and foster a positive mindset, focusing on themes like self-worth, capability, resilience, and gratitude

I like to try and say these in the morning to start my day out a bit brighter and of course right before bed when I am getting ready to make sure I have said something positive about myself before I sleep. It can be hard, at least for me I deal with body image issues and although I try to find the positive in myself I tend to let the negative thoughts win.

One thing I do try and do is write on a sticky note something positive, It could be a word, affirmation or a positive quote and I will stick it on the mirror of my bathroom. It is one of the first things that I see in the morning and by the end of the month I have a jar filled with positive notes to myself.
