Let’s Bake!

I absolutely love baking. Firstly, I created something with my own hands from nothing. Plus, you get a delicious reward at the end of it. Today, I will be sharing my Nani’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe. I bake these a lot, because they are easy, delicious and minimal cleanup. Let’s get started.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup salted butter softened
  2. 1 cup granulated sugar
  3. 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  4. 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  5. 2 large eggs
  6. 3 cups all-purpose flour
  7. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  8. ½ teaspoon baking powder
  9. 1 teaspoon salt
  10. 2 cups chocolate chips (12 oz)

What to do:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350º F and line a baking tray with parchment. Set it aside.
  2. In a standing mixer using the paddle attachment beat your butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in your eggs, baking soda, baking powder, baking soda, salt and flour.
  4. Once fully combined mix in your chocolate chips. (I like to add some white chocolate chips and maybe a handful more chocolate chips.)
  5. Form into balls, placing them on your lined cookie tray. Bake for about 10-25 minutes depending on the size of your cookie dough balls. I make mine a bit smaller so, they take about 10 minutes to bake.

You can 100% let them cook, but aside from eating the cookie dough and making sure it’s perfect, I really enjoy burning my mouth and eating right out of the oven. But if you want to avoid burning your mouth set them on a cooking rack for a couple of minutes to let them cook. Trust me they are still just as delicious when they are not burning your mouth. These will always be my absolute favorite chocolate chip cookie and I love that I can still make them with my Nani to this day. I hope you enjoy.
