March Monsters 2026: Day 19

Paw Print!

Today, we are going to crochet a paw print. This is technically a brooch but you can turn it into whatever you like. I got this pattern from Ada’s Handmade on youtube. Her tutorial is amazing and she shows step by step so if you can’t follow along here definitely go watch her video!

Abbreviations:

  • MR – Magic Ring
  • DC – Double Crochet
  • SC- Single Corchet
  • HDC – Half Double Crochet
  • SlSt – Slip Stitch

What you need:

  • Yarn (Two colors)
  • Crochet Needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch Marker
  • Hot Glue

Pattern:

Base

  1. MR 12 DC (12)
  2. DC 2 in each stitch (24). SlSt. Chain 1.
  3. DC 6 in the second stitch (same stitch). Skip one stitch and slst in the next. Repeat 4 times.

Heart paw pad (different color than the base)

  1. MR 6 SC. Slst. Chain 1.
  2. 2 SC in each stist (12) Slst. Chain 1.
  3. HDC and DC in the next stitch. (Same stitch). DC and HDC in the in the next stitch (in the same stitch) Repeat again. Slst in the next stitch and cut yarn.

Nubs (Make 4)

  1. MR 6 SC. Slst. Chain 1 and cut. (repeat three more times)

Hot glue the hear shape paw pad to the base and the little nubs in the their little spots and tada! You have the cutest little paw pad. I turned it into a keychain so I can hook it on my iPad. I think it is so adorable and will probably make more for some friends.
