Disney has planned to reboot Hocus Pocus as a Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) but what I never expected was they would make a book. The book starts by telling the story of the movie then leads up to the new story taking place years after the original events. Max and Allison are now married and have a 17-year-old daughter named Poppy. Someone from the family will awaken Winifred and her friends from the great beyond.

The book is rumored to come out July 18, 2018, the movie, however, is still coming together as a DCOM. The movie will feature a brand new cast director and writer Scarlett Lacey. As of now, there is no date when the DCOM is supposed to premiere, but I am hoping it’s not a long wait. Although I am excited to see what the new film has to offer, I am sad that the original director Kenny Ortega will not be working on the film.
