Blogtober 2019: Day 1

The Halloween Tree

Ray Bradbury wrote a novel in 1972 called The Halloween Tree. The book tells an adventurous story of a group of trick or treaters who learn about the origin of Halloween. In 2007 on All Hallows Eve was the 35th anniversary of Bradbury’s novel where his wish of having a Halloween Tree in the Disneyland Resort came true. An oak tree in Frontierland gets decorated with orange lights and hand-painted Jack-O-Lanterns hanging from the branches. In front of the tree, you can see a plaque commemorating the night’s celebration. Every year for Halloween the same oak tree gets transformed into the Halloween Tree.
