Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 c heavy cream
• 1 1/2 c milk
• 1/4 c sugar
• 1/8 tsp salt
• 6oz chocolate
• Crushed candy cane
• Candy cane
• Whipped cream
• chocolate shavings

Directions:

• In a sauce pan combine, milk heavy cream, salt and sugar. Stirring with the candy cane until it steams.
• When the cream mixture starts to steam add chopped chocolate and stir until melted. Stirring occasionally with the candy cane.
• Pot in a mug, adding the candy cane stirrer. Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings and crushed candy canes.

This is one of my favorite treats, because the peppermint flavor isn’t over powering, it’s very subtle peppermint taste.
