Halloween Returns To The Disneyland Resort

The Halloween season is back at The Disneyland Resort. The spooky season takes over Disneyland and Disney California Adventure starting September 3 – October 31, 2021. Disney brings back Halloween-themed attractions and sightings of everyone’s favorite characters and villains to the spooky decor and treats. Downtown Disney District is also joining in on the Halloween fun with decor, treats, and an all-new Halloween-themed pumpkin hunt, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit.

As you walk down Main Street USA, Winky Blinky, also known as the Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern, will greet you. Along with his adorable pumpkins of the Main Street Pumpkin Festival. Over in New Orleans Square, the Haunted Mansion will be taken over by none other than the Pumpkin King Jack Skelington for the return of Haunted Mansion Holiday. Every night from September 3 – October 31, guests will dread the return of “Halloween Screams,” the supernatural projection and special effects show. On weekends, the scream will take to the skies with fireworks.

Over at the DCA, you will be under the spell of Mr. Oogie Boogie, where attractions will be transformed for the spooky season. Radiator Springs will become Radiator Screams as residents decorate their homes for the unique Haul-O-Ween makeover and transform attractions. Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree will become Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, while Luigi’s Rolickin’ Roadsters will become Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween. Make sure to ride Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! At night as it transforms into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark which offers an exciting Halloween adventure filled with creepy creatures and thrilling drops. On Buena Vista Street, Mickey and his friends will be taking it back with old-fashion Halloween costumes. The seasonal decor will add to the ambiance of Buena Vista Street. Of course, it would not be Halloween at DCA without the 10-foot-tall statue of the one and only Headless Horseman holding his jack-o-lantern head to the sky.

Plaza de la Familia will also make a return to Paradise Gardens from September 3 – November 2. This limited-time celebration is inspired but the traction of Dia de Los Muertos, with exciting live entertainment, festive foods, crafts, and interactive experiences. “A Musical Celebration of Coco,” a street show honoring Disney and Pixar’s Coco, will be playing multiple times a day. There will also be Mariachi music at Paradise Gardens Bandstand, the World of Coco, an art exhibit, a photo opportunity with a hand-animated figure o Miguel, as well as the iconic Arbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) photo location and memory wall.

Oogie Boogie Bash- A Disney Halloween Party, will happen on select nights, beginning September 9 – October 31. It is a separate ticketed after-hours event that will add some spooky family fun. Kids of all ages can trick or treat throughout the park and encounter spooktacular characters. DCA will have immersive treat trails, “Frightfully Fun Parade,” Villains Grove at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” show, and so much more. Tickets will go on sale for Oogie Boogie Bash Tuesday, July 13, 2021.
