I love including the pups in any festivities that we have. Although, we don’t do much on the 4th of July I love making them a special treat. So, this year it’s red, white and blue pupsicles.
Here is what you’ll need:
- Plain low fat greek yogurt
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
For this you can make them two ways. You can blend the fruits and make it a red white and blue blended pupsicle or you can go the lazier rout and finely chop the fruits and you have a chunky popsicle. Today, I decided NOT to be lazy and blend it all.
- Separately blend your blueberries and strawberries with the greek yogurt. Remember don’t use all of the greek yogurt because that is white. (You can also use banana as your white) Blend until smooth.
- Place them in the mold of your choice in Red, White, and Blue order.
- Place the mixture in the freezer and until frozen. Time varies due to the size of your mold.
- Once frozen serve!
Although it is typically cold in San Francisco, I like to give them a cold treat because I enjoy ice cream on cold days; they might also want some pupsicles on a cold day. I hope you all have a safe and stressless 4th of July.
