Puppy Beach Day!

Its a cousin beach day!

The cousins have decided it was time to head to the beach with the fur babies! It was a WILD day. We had descent weather and the pups had a great time together, but I am so wiped out!

We got up at 10 am, picked up some snacks and food for us and the pups before heading out to the beach.

Puppy Food:

  • Peanut Butter Pancakes
  • Blueberry and Banana Muffins
  • Beggin’ Strips
  • Scrambled Eggs
  • Water
  • Watermelon

Human Food:

  • Pancakes
  • Waffles
  • Nachos
  • Sushi
  • Water
  • Tea
  • Watermelon

We were going for like a brunch feel but some of us don’t care for breakfast that much. We have three puppers in the family: Belle, Buster and Gelato. Belle is the oldest at 10 years old, Buster is next at 1 year and a couple of months and the baby of the family Gelato who is 1 year. They all get a long very well, although sometimes Gelato wants to play with Belle and Belle is not having it, but they are all super respectful of each others space.

Puppy Beach Pack:

  • Towels (3x)
  • Blanket (2x)
  • Water/food Bowl
  • Brush
  • Wipes
  • Sunblock (puppy safe)
  • Jacket (2x)
  • First Aid
  • Poop Bags
  • Dog Toys
  • Long Leash
  • Umbrella

Towels I bring three incase they go into the water, one to dry and one to get the sand off and one to lay out on my seat. Same with the blanket. One is for the beach and one is for the car. Jacket is the same incase one gets wet or sandy. We have a long leash to let them run around in a safe distance. The umbrella and sunblock to provide shade and protect them from the sun. If the sane was hot we would have put booties on them BUT it was a pretty cold day so we were bundles. The brush is to help get the sand off along with the wipes.

The first aid is ALWAYS in the car and so far has not been needed which is great. But here is what is in the puppy First Aid.

Puppy First Aid:

  • Gauze
  • Tweezers
  • Sunscreen
  • Puppy Antiseptic
  • Non Stick Bandage
  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Cotton Balls
  • Antibiotic Spray
  • Syringe
  • Flashlight

Thankfully, we have never had to use these in the 10 years i’ve had my pups and I am so thankful. Buster, on the other hand is the pup that has been to the emergency vet three times before the age of one, so I have a feeling Busters family will use their First Aid the most, but I am hoping they wont.

The cousins stuck their feet in the water, built sand castles and really just relaxed with the pups. We had a GIANT blanket where we sat and talked, the umbrella was up and the food was in the middle. We also took the pups for a good run on the beach so they were just chilling with us. This was Buster and Gelato’s first time at the beach and they were so happy and so dirty by the time we left.
