Blogmas 2023: Day 23

City Nights

My cousins and I recently went into the to do all of their day things, but now we went back to do their night things PLUS we started out once again laughing at each other as we hit the rink once more. We had a 5pm reservation at the rink and after an hour we went into the Fairmont Hotel to see the the two story gingerbread house. As always since it is FREEING in SF we made sure to buy some hot chocolate, coffee and tea and sat around the lobby waiting for the new light show to display. We basically wanted to stay out of the cold because we were so cold. The new light show was stunning. I don’t think any of us had our phones out because they did such a great job with it. This is something rare for us because someone is usually on their phones, either texting, playing a game or on a call, so it was cool that we were all living int he moment together.

After the light show we decided to grab, you guessed it, another hot drink to warm us up but also some candied almonds and chestnuts which were amazing and also super warm! Our hands were freezing so it felt super nice as we held them. Instead of going right home we watched the ice rink for a little bit before walking around Macy’s and all the adorable animals in the windows. It was such a nice night with all the aunts and cousins and I am really lucky to create such memorable moments with my loved ones.
