Beach Day!

Yes, it is beach day. Not only is this my peaceful place but it is my mom’s peaceful place as well. So we both have our books and are completely bundled and we are ready to read at the beach!

First, of course, we got a 5k walk at Ocean Beach with Belle. Even though she didn’t walk the entire time, it was a nice start before we sat in the car and read for a couple of hours. Before going to the beach, we stopped off at the movie theater and picked up a giant bag of buttered popcorn because movie theater popcorn makes all three of us happy.

We set up camp in the trunk of my car, meaning we had blankets, pillows, popcorn, and drinks. I had a hot caramel apple cider because it sounded the best with the popcorn. Once we were settled and warm, we started to read. Listening to the waves and being with my two favorite beings was the GREATEST night of the new year. We got cuddles, laughed, cried, and ate some delicious popcorn. We only stayed at the beach for about two hours before going home because it was getting late. Belle was getting impatient, and she wanted her bed.
