Cozyathon 2025: Day 11

Cinnamon Roll-Overs Dog Treats

We love cinnamon rolls in this household, and Belle is no exception. Today, we are making puppy-friendly cinnamon. I got this recipe from Ice Creamin on Pinterest. Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

Main

  • 2 C Flour
  • 1 Tsp baking flour
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 C Water
  • 1 L Egg
  • 1/4 C Coconut Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon

Substitutions

  • Oat/Rice Flour
  • Olive Oil

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients. In a big bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Just stir until combined.
  3. In a smaller bowl, mix the water, egg, and oil. Once smooth, pour this into your dry mix. Stir gently until you’ve got a soft, workable dough.
  4. Roll out the dough. Sprinkle a little flour on your countertop and roll the dough into a rectangle, about 9×12 inches and 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Filling! Drizzle honey evenly over the surface of your dough. Sprinkle on cinnamon.
  6. Roll and slice. Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Seal the edge by pinching it. Use a slightly wet knife (or pizza cutter) to slice the long into 1/2 inch rounds.
  7. Place the slices cut-side down on the prepped baking sheet. Pop them in the oven for 15 minutes. Peak around the 12-minute mark to make sure they are not overbaking. They should be firl and golden brown when done.
  8. Let them cool completely before handing them to your pup!

They will last for 5 days in an airtight container at room temperature or for 2 weeks in the fridge. If you plan on freezing them, they will stay fresh for up to 3 months. I hope your pups enjoy them as much as mine, and you know we had to share some with the cousins and neighbors! We placed them in a bag, with the recipe attached, and handed them out.

Cozy Cuddles!
