Member recommendations!

This week we have the 98 Liners, Seungkwan and Vernon. They are the second youngest of the group.

Seungkwan was reading 내일은 내일의 해가 뜨겠지만 오늘 밤은 어떡하나요? (Tomorrow’s Sun Will Come Up Tomorrow But What About Tonight?) by Yeonjeong in In The Soop. The book addresses the “anxiety of youth” shared by young adults globally, focusing on topics like rent, unstable jobs, relationships, and finding personal happiness. If you can find it and need a bit of ‘healing’ I would suggest checking it out. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a translated version and my Hangul is not strong enough to read it in its true language. Another book that Seungkwan recommends that has been translated is The Courage to Be Disliked by Ichiro Kishimi, which I plan on reading. It has a very catchy title, at least for me.

Vernon has a couple of recommendations…

1. The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle
2. The Children of Blood and Bone
3. If I Die, Who Will Come To My Funeral? (not translated)

I have had The Children of Blood and Bone in my library for a good minute, but I am also very intrigued with The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle but what is making me lean towards one and not the other. The bad thing they are both a lot of pages. One is 625 and the other is 537. So I might not get to those for this challenge, but have added to my TBR.
