Nani is crocheting again!

My little old Nani is once again crocheting but this time with her hands. I craft a lot when I am with her and occasionally she will help out with separating beads or something small. I have noticed she has been wanting me to crochet a lot more when I am there, so I have. She’s my Nani and even though I tell her No I still do it for her.

When I crochet she reads the pattern for me because it keeps her involved. I have noticed shes been playing with all my yarn and needles but her hands have really bad arthritis, she’s 87 so nothing out of the ordinary and we have tried different hooks and putting a tennis ball for better grip but she gets frustrated. So I got her the GIANT yarn so she can crochet with her hands.

She was a bit confused when I first showed her but oh my gawd! This ghoulie was on a roll. By the time I left she was halfway through one skein of yarn and I told her as soon as she finished that one I will buy her another one. That night, I got a call from her saying I needed to buy another one for her IMMEDIATELY. I am so happy because she is happy and now she is going to make blankets for everyone!

She is so cute and I can’t wait to crochet with her once again.
