San Francisco Union Square Ice Rink!

Starting today, Nov. 4, 2026 – Jan18, 2027 the Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square presented by Kaiser Permanente is back for another magical season of outdoor skating and holiday festivities in the heart of downtown San Francisco. The hour logn session will begin every 90 minutes, General admission is $22 or $17 for kids 8 and under; prices include skate rental.

Of course it wouldn’t be SF if they didn’t have special events like Drag On Ice, Silent Skate, Polar Bear Skate and more! This ice rink is for skaters with little to no experience to the rink and can even learn from professional skate instructors with The Learn To Skate program which will be implemented as a random lottery system giving everyone a chance to win one free skate lesson.

This is the rink my cousins and I love to hang out at and you know we will be there this holiday season!
