Blogmas 2020: Day 23

Gingerbread House Competition: Virtual Edition

This year my mom and I thought it would be fun to lift our family’s Christmas Spirit by challenging them to our first-ever Gingerbread House Competition over a zoom call. So my mom and I went to the store picked up a gingerbread house for everyone in the family. Once the houses were in our possession, we stopped by Michaels and picked up some extra goodies to decorate the houses. Once all the bags were assembled and placed in individual bags, we delivered them to their houses with a note:

“You have been challenged to a gingerbread house competition. Do NOT start until the instructions are given on the family zoom call. So, put on your festive jammies and get ready to build!

It had all of the information for the zoom call, and when everyone logged on, we gave the instructions, and we had two hours to finish our creations. Honestly, it was a lot of fun and the number of times we laughed, trashed, talked, and just had a lot of fun building our creations. I think this might be an annual tradition.
