Happy Merry Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve for my family is food prepping and watching movies. Typically, my entire family comes together to make tamales. This year we can’t be together, but we did all FaceTime each other throughout the day as we made tamales. We would also start on the chili beans and other foods that we could prepare ahead of time.

As all the food is being prepped, we have movies on the TV. We usually start with the Santa Clause, and it usually ends with Elf. It’s a lot of work, but it’s also a lot of fun. The adults typically tell many stories and hear what our grandpa liked to eat for the holidays. This year, however, we just told stories over zoom because of the pandemic. I love when the family’s littles are intrigued by our Grandma’s stories or when the aunts and uncles bring up all the crazy things they did when they were our age. How do you celebrate Christmas Eve?
