I first participated in this event in 2014, and although I had a nice time participating in this event I swore to myself I would never do it again. Then the 2018 medal called to me and I signed up a second time, this time making my mom run with me. We completed it, she enjoyed the event but told me don’t EVER sign her up for this race EVER again. runDisney announced that 2021 Marathon Weekend is going virtual and I couldn’t pass up this opportunity. I do have to say I do not miss waking up at 3am to stand in the corrals for hours, but I did miss meeting fellow runDisney participants, the characters on the course and running through all the parks. Every mile is definitely more magical on Disney property but I liked sleeping in a bit at home.

I am a fan of the runDisney virtual events because I can participate in events I wouldn’t have due to work and school. Are you a fan of the virtual runDisney events?
