Wow! I am shocked.
For all my Disneyland fans, how are you feeling with all the news that just came out for Magic Keys? I am slightly heartbroken. So Disney announced the updated Magic Key. There were name changes, and the price increased along with some benefits and some not-so-beneficial things like blackout dates.

Enchant Key: $699 ($58.25 a month)

Imagine Key: $449 ($37.42 a month)

As you can tell, Disney did announce blackout dates for all of their passes which is sad, BUT I think it was more eye-opening because the fine print, for the most part, said that park hopping could change. How I took it was they were getting rid of Park Hopping. I think you may need a reservation for both parks to park hop. Another thing that I read was if you are blocked out, you can’t use any benefits from your pass even at Downtown Disney (DTD), which is a bummer because I love shopping in DTD, especially when I can still get the discounts. If you purchase a pass, you will get a special magnet, which is exciting. Sadly, I think I will have to pass this year after being a Disneyland Passholder for more than 20 years. It hurts my heart a little, BUT unfortunately, nothing benefits me because I come from San Francisco and usually go on weekends. What are your thoughts on the updated Magic Key?
