Twilight Day!
I have decided to roll back the clock to my high school days and re-read twilight. I thought it would be fun because with Twilight it is so nostalgic for me and I would like to see what I think of it as more of an adult.
I started reading Twilight at 6 am as I waited for my sleepy puppy to wake up. When she woke up I switched to the audio book so I can make her breakfast, make tea and make my bed for the day. This book is super cringe for me personally but full of nostalgia and I am living for it. It took me about 5 hours to finish the book and it was time for the movie. Of course, since the pup and I had the day off we stayed in our comfy clothes, made some more tea, and made steak in honor of Charlie and a burger in honor of Bella. Once everything was done cooking, we sat ourselves on the bed and started the movie.
Honestly, the book definitely hit differently from when I was younger and I see A LOT more problems with it from an adult perspective, don’t get me wrong I love the nostalgia from it and I think it will always be one of my comforting movies to watch BUT it hit’s slightly different. I do love a lot of their lines in the story, such as “This is the skin of a killer Bella.” My cousins and I quote this way more than we should and my cousin Tay made a shirt for our cousin Libby with this quote on it and a sparkly photo of Edward. It is great and terrible at the same time.
What are your thoughts on Twilight?
